Andechs dark wheat beer has been produced since 1997. Bavarian wheat and dark barley malt are used in the production. Aroma hopping is done exclusively in Hallertau. Beautiful red-brown in color and slightly cloudy, with a sparkling and pleasantly robust mouthfeel. The taste world is tinged with ripe banana and pineapple, there is also caramel and cocoa.
