La Trappe Quadrupel is the monastery's most robust beer and gives its name to this strong style of beer. Dark amber brown in color, with creamy foam. The aroma has clove and nutty spiciness, which is softened by the pleasant sweet aromas of vanilla, raisin and banana. The taste world is sweet, fruity with dates and raisins, caramelly malty and richly warming. The aftertaste is very soft, turning slightly bitter.
